Services within the framework of an integrated management system

Product manufacturers have a great interest in making certain that the final result consistently satisfies uniform specifications and meets customer requirements. Ensuring this is a key management task, and a quality management system the most suitable instrument.

But the requirements are increasing, and DIN EN ISO 9001 focuses only on a section of the overall picture. Questions of energy management, environmental management, occupational health and safety, internal controlling and risk management must also be considered. Running multiple systems side by side is inefficient, so the only solution is an integrated management system.

We help you to concentrate on what really matters – your product – by supporting the optimisation of your processes in the background.

Quality management systems are valuable instruments for the continuous improvement of a company’s service quality. Lean and highly practical systems enable process optimisation, the flawless implementation of customer requirements and the elimination of risks. When stringently upheld within the company, a quality management system helps you to reach your goals: so seize the opportunities.

Companies can use an energy management system to prepare detailed records of their energy consumption, identify potential savings and design specific energy efficiency measures. Everything is based on the system, but the practical application requires industry-specific expertise and knowledge about individual consumers.

Environmental protection has become a key management task for many companies and will play an increasingly important role in the future. More and more, companies are required to address the issue of sustainability in relation to environmental impacts, as they are confronted with rising raw material prices, changes in consumer behaviour or legal requirements. Interdisciplinary expertise and an objective mindset are necessary in order to manage a company’s environmental concerns.

The Occupational Health and Safety Act clearly states that it is the employer’s responsibility to conduct a risk assessment. The legally prescribed, independent implementation of a risk assessment aims to ensure that the employer regularly appraises hazards on the company premises and seeks ways to minimise the relevant risks. The employer should, therefore, identify and assess hazards that may arise at work and implement appropriate protective measures.
Risk assessment means a systematic and thorough investigation to identify hazards and burdens, as well as the
inference of suitable measures at a particular workplace, in a work area or for a certain group of persons.

Here is a short list of legal regulations on which we can advise you:

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Industrial Safety Act
  • Workplaces Ordinance
  • Industrial Safety Regulations
  • Ordinance for Workstations with Visual Display Units
  • Construction Site Ordinance
  • Load Handling Ordinance
  • Hazardous Substances Ordinance
  • Equipment and Product Safety Act

OHSAS 18000

The OHSAS 18001 standard is the foundation for occupational health and safety in companies and is based on a globally recognised standard. It focuses on the protection of people, occupational safety and preventative healthcare. Preventive measures in occupational health and safety management enable employees to take necessary action before an accident happens or illness occurs. In principle, OHSAS 18001 can be implemented by any organisation across all industries as a means of improving safety and protecting the health of employees.

The benefit of OHSAS 18001 is firstly its integration within existing management system structures according to the current ISO standards (9001, 14001, 50001) and secondly the systematic consideration of possible sources of danger and preventative measures.

Risk considerations are a fundamental component of every entrepreneurial activity, although highly subjective evaluation schemes are occasionally applied. In order to ensure a structured and target-oriented approach, any such undertaking must be built on the regulatory structure of an established system, as well as on highly prioritised, industry-specific experience.

Data protection checks and data protection audits detect risks with regard to data protection and IT security. To ensure compliance with the requirements of data protection laws and other relevant regulations, we determine whether there is a need for action and whether changes should be made.

You satisfy the legal requirements by appointing an external data protection officer (DPO). The DPO assists you in matters relating to data protection, such as documentation, staff training and compliance with information technology (IT) requirements.

We support you in the establishment of a data protection management system and help you to create the technical and organisational requirements for sustainable and ideal data protection. The data protection management system ensures the implementation of and compliance with the laws and guidelines regarding data protection.

Lean processes and lean structures are among the essential requirements for companies to operate successfully in the marketplace. Besides lean production, lean management has now become an increasingly crucial factor.

Each company needs lean structures and processes. But the implementation of process and customer-centricity is challenging.

Companies are still facing an accelerated change in their theatres of operation. Globalisation, tougher market and competitive environments, changing customer needs and structures, as well as greater complexity due to an increasing number of variants, new technologies and networked processes, create unstable conditions. These factors exert enormous pressure on companies to take action to counteract change and to prevail in the survival of the fittest.

The aim is to avoid waste and a reactive mindset within the organisation to create lean organisational structures, manage according to standards and ensure process-driven controlling. The implementation and roll-out of lean management and lean production require the use of specific methods, such as value stream mapping and 5 S.

Quality assurance

An integrated management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008, ISO 50001:2011 and DIN ISO 14001:2009 has been introduced and is practised throughout our company in order to fulfil contractually agreed customer requirements, to plan, carry out, monitor and improve all quality-relevant activities, and to improve customer satisfaction, energy efficiency and environmental protection. In addition, we possess a large number of current certifications and approvals.
